August 2020

President's Update

August finds us slowly and carefully emerging from the full lock-down and we are looking forward to getting back among the community again. Everything feels strange and different, but I am sure it will soon be second nature to make sure you socially distance and wear a face mask when out and about.

Some of us Lions have been busy making face masks out of  'Lions themed' fabrics and you will be seeing us at various locations asking for a small donation in exchange for a mask. Our first outing will be on Friday 28th August at the Country Market, so I hope you will come along and support us.

With many of this year's events cancelled or postponed it is lovely to see that a socially distancing Summer Pantomime is to be held in Bordon on 22nd and 23rd August. We are happy to be supporting this, you can find full details on the club website or Facebook page and if you come along and spot us there -do say hello.

Some of you may be finding that you now have more spare time on your hands and are looking for some sort of voluntary work to get involved in. I would be very happy to chat to you about what Lions do and how you could become involved. Not only would you be helping others in the community but also gaining friends and the chance to join in with our regular social activities.

Please take care of yourselves and others when out and about, look out for your local Lions and feel free to contact me with any questions or queries concerning Woolmer Forest Lions Cub - my email address is
