Cans Recycling
The club collects any scrap alluminium - mainly drinks cans and old batteries, for their lead content.
These are taken to a local recycling centre, where we have an agreement with them to get the best going rate, which is accumulated into a lump sum when we need it.
We have sent all sorts of scrap metal including a greenhouse frame. The scrap alluminium is sent to China and the lead is sent to Belgium.
Mobile Phone Batteries
A new development as from March 2023, we can now collect old mobile phone batteries for recycling. So please feel free to donate unwanted mobile phone batteries to the Woolmer Forest Lions Club
