Words 'Spring' from the Lions President in March 

Dear All,

What a busy time it has been in my first 6 months or so as President. The Woolmer Forest Lions is a very active club and is dedicated to helping the local community and more worldly issues such as the Earthquake in Syria and Turkey and causes like our local foodbanks, Christmas Parcels and other causes such as Marie Curie.

Springtime for me always reminds me of new growth. Many voluntary associations like the Lions rely on the help of others. We are always seeking new ways to attract members. All help is invaluable and very much appreciated. We would love to hear from you, and help us to serve MORE people in our local community.

This month is indicative of the sort of activities we do to help raise money for others. We have our AGM on the 6th of March, and we are also collecting for the Marie Curie charity at the Country Market on Saturday 18th March. Finally, we have launched our annual Easter Egg Appeal in many local pubs and restaurants in our area. The Eggs are simply huge. Enjoy one if you win one!!!!
