Today 1 November 2018, at the Holme CE Primary School in Headley, there was a photo-shoot in connection with the greenhouse that Woolmer Forest Lions Club funded in July of this year.

Anthony Coutts, a long-standing teacher who is responsible for overseeing this eco-activity in the school said, 'The school is incredibly grateful to Woolmer Forest Lions, who provided the money for the greenhouse, which the school could not have funded out of existing budgets. We are all looking forward to growing fruit and vegetables in the winter, and learning about where our food comes from. The school cannot thank the Lions enough.'

Three of the young eco-leaders, Mylee, Isabel, and Chloe, explained that, ' they had already grown tomatoes, strawberries, and courgettes this year, and were looking forward to growing more fruits and vegetables in the coming months, using the greenhouse, which was very exciting.'

Holme CE Primary School is going to take part in the Headley Open Gardens on the 8/9 June 2019, for the first time, and the school is really thrilled about that.

The children, teachers, members of the Lions club and other supporters, including WFL President Richard Balchin braved the rain for some photos, and he said, 'Lions helping the local community like this, is just great, and we thank everyone who supports us, so we can support others, especially the young.'
