Woolmer Forest Lions join the world in sharing the sadness of the passing of Her Majesty
WOOLMER FOREST LIONS GOLF DAY
Woolmer Forest Lions second annual golf day took place on at Petersfield Golf Club on Friday , 16th September. The 40 entrants enjoyed some fine weather to help them around the challenging course. The individual winner was Nick Kellie who came in with a magnificent 48 Stableford points. The team trophy was retained by last years winners with a team led by Derek Thayre supported by Peter Smith , Mike Redpath and Nick Kellie. Before presenting the prizes, Lion Nigel Gray (Chair of Fundraising) , gave a toast to Her Majesty the late queen. A raffle was held in support of LIBRA (Lions International Blood Research Appeal) who are one of only a few charities doing research into blood cancers. The day raised a fantastic total of over £1000 which will be split between Woolmer Forest Lions and LIBRA.
